Last week members of the chair visited the automatica in Munich. We visited many booths including the booth by the DLR, see photo.
In the afternoon, Adna Bliek took part in a panel discussion on the topic of diversity in the field of AI and robotics with Sheila Beladinejad, Lioba Suchenwirth, Kat...
This was the first participation of our Institute at the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften at FAU and was very well received. The visitors showed a lot of interest in our demos which included mainly human-robot interaction.
Thanks to everybody who visited and to all contributors, especially to Kultu...
Arkady Zgonnikov from TU Delft is visiting our Institute this week. His visit started with a lab tour and discussion about cognitive modeling and haptic interfaces in human-robot interaction.
Today, Arkady Zgonnikov gave a talk on cognitive modeling for HRI in traffic and beyond.
Stella Hao and Adna Bliek visited the Spring School on Cognitive Modeling at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. They learned about different cognitive architectures, such as ACT-R, Nengo, and PRIMS, and listened to research talks about applications of cognitive modeling.
Last week Philipp Beckerle and Stella Hao met up with the project partners Nele Rußwinkel and Daniel Häufle to brainstorm and discuss future ideas together.
The ACM/IEEE HRI workshop on "Modeling Human Behavior in Human-Robot Interactions" organized by Philipp Beckerle together with Arkady Zgonnikov, Serge Thill, and Catholijn Jonker has taken place.
The workshop featured keynote talks by Ollivia Guest, Dorsa Sadigh, Tamara Lorenz, and Randy Gomez, a...
Prof. Lorenzo Masia, Chair in Biorobotics and Medical Technology at the University of Heidelberg, visited the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. He gave a talk at our chair on "Exosuits: towards a symbiotic assistive technology?", followed by a discussion about assistive technology wi...
The semester is coming to an end, and we finished our new joint lecture series "Autonomous Systems: From Research to Products" with Siemens on Wednesday. Concluding this year's contributions together with Ludger Meyer, Albrecht Donat, Philipp Beckerle, and Anany Dwivedi.
