Since January 2024, Maria Eleni Athanasiadou is a doctoral candidate in the Biomechanical Motion Analysis and Creation (BioMAC) group at the Chair of Autonomous Systems and Mechatronics in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. She is currently working on the DFG-funded project “Bridging the gap in ACL injury prevention with FAME: Field-based Athlete Motion Evaluation and simulation”.

Maria Eleni Athanasiadou received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the American College of Thessaloniki in 2019 and her MBA from the same university in 2020. She received her master’s degree in Computational Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2023. For her master thesis she worked on “A Physics-Informed Neural Network for Muscle Mechanics Modeling and Muscle Force Prediction”.
