Ilias Masmoudi
Ilias Masmoudi, M. Sc.
Ilias Masmoudi is a doctoral candidate of Biomechanical Motion Analysis and Creation (BioMAC) group at the Chair of Autonomous Systems and Mechatronics in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg since January, 2025. He is currently working on muscle strength and energy expenditure estimation from sparse inertial sensors.
Ilias Masmoudi received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Al Akhawayn University in 2021 and his master’s degree in artificial intelligence from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2024. He wrote his master thesis write on tracking and feedback in surfing as a 3D pose estimation approach.
Research interest: Machine Learning, Movement Analysis, Biomechanics, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion.
