Alexander Weiss is a doctoral candidate in the Biomechanical Motion Analysis and Creation (BioMAC) group at the Chair of Autonomous Systems and Mechatronics in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg since June 2022. He is currently working on the biomechanical assessment of big wave surfing.

Alexander Weiss received his bachelor’s degree in medical engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2019 and his master’s degree in medical engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2021. He wrote his master’s thesis on an investigation of ground contact models in biomechanical simulations.
